Principal Research Fellow, Health Economics – Griffith University, Brisbane/Gold Coast Australia

Position Available

This is a collaborative appointment between the Menzies Health Institute Queensland (MHIQ) and Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS). This predominantly research-only position is responsible for enhancing research around the economics of health care interventions and health services in Griffith University and for leading a health economics research agenda around a new program of integrated care in the GCHHS.

This is a new position designed for the incumbent to provide high level expertise in research and teaching support to staff in the areas of health economics, health services research and health technology assessment. This position must be well positioned to undertake economic analysis in the new integrated care program developed at the GCHHS. Collaborations across Griffith University and GCHHS are an important aspect of this position particularly in developing research collaborations. Mentoring, providing practical seminars on health economics methods and contributing to their research grant applications and manuscripts are expected.

This is a fixed term (until 30 June 2019), full time position primarily based at Gold Coast and Brisbane campuses, with work undertaken at the Gold Coast University Hospital.
